With the advent of YouTube, MetaCafe, CollegeHumor, and a ton of other video hosting sites. Viral videos have hit the web hard. Some of these videos are so cleverly shot that it’s hard to differentiate reality from something well staged. Here’s a few clips I found on the web that were quite convincing when they came out. At the very least, they’ll make you think for a bit before your basic common sense kicks in.
1.) Coke on Pork - In early 2007, this viral video spawned several copy cats and probably boosted the sale of both Pork and Coke.
Snopes.com confirms this is a dud and not the real deal. Though the origin is not certain but speculations point to religious groups and animal rights groups trying to steer consumers in a particular direction or belief.
2.) 6 Volt Battery Hack - The premise of this video is that you can physically dissect a 6 volt battery and find several size AA batteries within. Thereby saving hundreds of dollars. Again, another fake video that spawned several other copy cats.

Common sense normally kicks in a few minutes after watching the clip but I’m sure this fooled quite a lot of people.
3.) Glow in the Dark Mountain Dew - A mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, and Mountain Dew apparently creates a solution that glows in the dark.

I have to admit, whoever came up with this idea of cleverly editing the video to make things consistent should be a marketing exec. I mean if he actually worked for Mountain Dew, I’m sure this video would’ve boosted sales and he probably would’ve gotten a nice bonus in salary. I personally can’t stand the taste of it, but to each his own.
4.) How to Boost Your Signal(for PC) - How to physically tether your RJ45(Ethernet) cable to your cellphone and get a boost in Wifi connection.

“Infinite Solutions” was the apparent name of the company the host uses to describe his tutorial. Mark Erickson or so he claims is his name. Has made several hoax video tutorials. It’s quite amusing actually.
5.) Unlocking a Car with a Tennis Ball - This would be a great hack if it were possible.
MythBusters busted this trick a few months ago. But I thought it was notable since it did look believable. If this were actually real the government would’ve banned tennis balls a long time ago.
Bonus:
1.) Bride has a Massive Hair Wig-Out - This is a clip of a bride to be totally wigging out. I’m not sure where they(some program on TV) demystified this clip. But the acting was superb!
