Tribute to Penn & Teller’s Invisible Thread

Several years ago I visited the Museum of Television and Radio in NYC. From their archives, I watched several of Penn & Teller’s older material as well as a lot of performances from Doug Henning, David Copperfield, and Lance Burton.

One of my favorite videos from Penn & Teller(P&T) was know as “P&T’s Invisible Thread”:

My tribute to Derren Brown

I’ve been a big fan of mentalist/magician/hypnotist Derren Brown ever since I first saw his work. Hailing from London England, his works have been widely accomplished spawning TV series, Theatre Performances, and TV Specials. There’s even been a brief exploit into his work here in the US on the SciFi Channel. One of my favorites of his performances is the Human Blockhead Routine. This isn’t a magic trick but rather a carnie trick. One that many of the Carnival Sideshows often perform. It entails the use of a nail and a willing performer who literally hammers the nail into his head.

I’m considering doing another take of this and using another angle. I can see how people might think I’m not actually pounding the nail into my head.

Cyril Takayama Thailand Trip

Cyril Takayama travels to Chiang Mai, Thailand to perform magic for some orphans. In a world where people are struggling, it’s nice to see that there are still some kindness being shown to them. Note that the clips are continuous in order. YouTube has a set restriction of approx. 10 minutes per clip so the entire segment is segmented.
