Movies with Imported Cars

Cars in movies almost always go hand in hand unless we’re talking about a movie based on the past or on islands or at sea. While there are tons of movie lists based on cars, I figured I’d compile a list of movies that center around imported cars rather than American Muscle cars. They’re interesting because they tend to be lesser known and often times exotic or at least appear that way. Continue reading ‘Movies with Imported Cars’

My Netflix Reviews

I’ve been using Netflix for several years now. It almost my primary source for movies. One of my favorite features is that it allows for quick and convenient ratings. To date I have about 2,242 rated through Netflix. Obviously this isn’t all the movies I’ve seen since there are many Asian titles that are not yet available for US release or sponsored. It’s really great to have a database of movies that I’ve already seen. This gives me a chance to reflect on whether or not I feel like renting them again or simply to keep in mind as a suggestion for friends. Netflix also utilizes the existing rated movies to recommend movies to me. I thought it’d be nice to share some brief reviews I’ve written on Netflix. Keep in mind that they may be terse and rather crude. Continue reading ‘My Netflix Reviews’

Conspiracy::Review::

What’s happened to Val Kilmer since his “Batman Forever” days? Remember him in “Heat”? how about “The Saint”? Well, it looks like we get to find out in the movie, “Conspiracy”. Watch as fat Val Kilmer(who plays a war veteran suffering from PTSD) take on corrupt city development officials.

Cleaner::Review::

As far as mystery thrillers go, “Cleaner” seems to do a pretty apt job of making it interesting. But certainly not interesting enough to make it onto any must-see lists for 2007. The cast is pretty tight considering, Ed Harris, Samuel Jackson, Eva Mendes and the love-able Luis Guzman are on board. The film is shot in a very cinematic way that reminds me of most titles under the same genre.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC!

My personal favorite fighting game that ever hit the scene was Marvel vs. Capcom 2(MvC2). I played it on my old dreamcast system for well over 500+ hours. My second favorite would be Mortal Kombat Annihilations(MKA). Today, I stumbled upon this interesting bit of news, Mortal Kombat will be doing a crossover with DC universe to make Mortal Kombat vs. DC. The trailer looks like the game has some potential and most of the action and fight scenes have gone untarnished since MKA. I’m glad to hear that they(the developers) are trying to keep on par with Capcom. I’ve added the trailer for your viewing:

Is hulu.com where TV series go to Die?

I’ve been a big fan of hulu.com since it’s inception several months back during beta testing. I don’t know if I was lucky or simply one of the millions that signed up for hulu beta testing. During the first week or so, it was plagued with tons of bad comments. It’s inability to be used internationally was one of the biggest complaints. While I sympathize with the international audience, I can understand why it wasn’t viewable outside of the US.

Top 5 Fake Videos

With the advent of YouTube, MetaCafe, CollegeHumor, and a ton of other video hosting sites. Viral videos have hit the web hard. Some of these videos are so cleverly shot that it’s hard to differentiate reality from something well staged. Here’s a few clips I found on the web that were quite convincing when they came out. At the very least, they’ll make you think for a bit before your basic common sense kicks in.

Top 5 Creepy Ghost Clips on the Web

People who know me, know that I’m very much intrigued by the paranormal. Maybe it’s all the X-files I watched as a child. Maybe its because of a creepy experience of my own I had encountered as a child. Maybe I’m just really skeptical and is constantly searching for proof. Well, I’m not really sure myself. But every now and then I search some of the trusty video sites out there for the unknown.

Which Celebrity do I look Like?

It use to be a big thing for bloggers to share which celebrities they look like. It’s usually some A-list celeb, like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Hallie Barry, Angelina Jolie, etc… I got curious so I searched online for the site that people were using to do this. When I finally processed my picture. Apparently, I look like this: Continue reading ‘Which Celebrity do I look Like?’
